Theater Costuming

In the Spring of 2016, I costumed a student production of Sweeney Todd on a virtually nonexistent budget. The small college theater department had an extremely limited pre-existing costume closet. Very few costume pieces were able to be rented and purchased, so I worked with each individual actor's own wardrobe, and relied heavily my own personal wardrobe. Despite the tight budget limiting my ability to be historically accurate, I worked hard through creativity and thrift-shopping to help fully realize the characters. It was my responsibility to manage, maintain, and repair all costumes. I also assisted several characters backstage for quick-changes between scenes.
